BendShape Quartz is the first ASTM Level 3 transparent surgical mask. Quartz leads the clear mask market with the highest bi-directional filtration performance. Quartz provides better communication thanks to the largest transparent window on a sealed mask. That superior seal stems from Quartz’s novel design that marries a transparent anti-fog front with snug, breathable textile sides that tightly conform to your facial contours. Seal is also a product of facially-informed sizing for a better fit. As human faces are diverse, Quartz is the first mask to offer multiple sizes for a better fit against the unique shape of your face and thereby a better seal. Quartz was designed to improve maximize breathability and sit securely in place during facial movement. Quartz mask is available with both ear loop and head strap options enabling flexibility and user preference. Quartz was crafted to be invisible and aesthetically pleasing. Quartz was built to align with industry norms for the economics, usage, and disposal of surgical masks. Quartz was built to lay flat for smaller storage footprint and superior portability. Quartz is the first-to-market with custom logo & pattern printing on an ASTM3 clear mask. Custom printing makes personal protective equipment more personal. Quartz offers Class 1 flammability protection with ignited but self extinguished (IBE) performance in accordance with 16 CFR Part 1610. Quartz is made of US premium non-skin-irritating and non-sensitizing materials and is latex-free.

Quartz ASTM3 is permitted for distribution as a surgical mask as it meets the conditions per FDA’s published “Enforcement Policy for Face Masks and Respirators During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (Revised)” from May 2020. Quartz ASTM3 510(k) filing is in process.
